Clare Mackie

Clare is a well established illustrator based in Brighton after 20 years carving a successful career in London.

With over 13 illustrated books under her belt, one of which (Michael Rosen's Book of Nonsense) was short-listed for the Kate Greenaway Award, she's also had time to illustrate for many clients such as BBC, IBM, Harvey Nichols, Coutts, Neiman Marcus, Tatler, Vogue, The New Yorker, Chanel to name but a few.

For the last 8 years she has illustrated weekly for Country Life, more recently monthly for Sandi Toksvig's column in Good Housekeeping, designs ceramic collections for The DRH Collection and BIA International which have won 3 industry awards, illustrates greeting cards, Christmas ornaments and continues to take private commissions and occasionally exhibits.

She is also very keen on bees.
